We had the opportunity to ask Devin a few Questions:

  1. What’s your favorite thing to do when you aren’t working?

In my free time I play basketball, binge watch The Office, and play MASSIVE amounts of Fortnite games. Fortnite has taken over my life lol.

  1. What are you looking forward to this summer?

I'll be moving to Los Angeles in early June. It has been my dream to move there and the fact that it's actually happening now is so mind-bottling. I feel like it is all happening so fast and couldn't be more blessed in my life right now. I wouldn't be able to do any of this without the support of my fans. If it wasn't for them, I would probably be going to college somewhere back in my home state of Illinois. My whole heart lives in LA. I feel it's important for me to get out there and connect with as many people in the music industry as possible, gaining more and more knowledge and excelling myself to the next level. Of course it's a scary thought moving out there on my own at 18 years old... but I feel ready to take on any challenges that lay ahead.

  1. If you didn’t become a musician, what would you be doing right now?

This is a hard question because music is everything to me... but of course I have other hobbies and interests. I've always had an obsession with producing/directing films. Growing up I would always come up with skits to do with my friends for YouTube. That's all I would do when I got home from school. I've always loved turning these visions of ideas I had into reality. I feel that creative mindset has helped tremendously when it comes to music as well. But, yeah... I would probably be producing/editing stuff.

  1. Which musician would you like to collaborate with next? Skies the limit.

Damn... this one has to be between my two biggest inspirations, Justin Bieber and Ed Sheeran. Growing up I watched a lot of JB's stuff and was influenced incredibly by him when it came to style and charisma. I started listening and watching a lot of Ed's stuff a few years ago. Ed's just a musical genius when it comes to music... but I'm mostly inspired by his humbleness. He doesn't ever let himself get caught of in the fame or fortune. He's just a true genuine guy.

Oh and I also fuck with Bazzi a lot.

  1. Since appearing on Boy Band how has your life changed?

Boyband changed my whole life. Right before the summer of 2017... I was about to give up on my dreams. I felt I just wasn't a fit in this industry... I felt I wasn't good enough... then I received an invite to audition for the show and I thought, hell, why not? A few weeks of auditions with different producers went by and next thing you know, I was packing my things to go to LA and be on the show. Throughout rehearsals, I was very intimidated by the talents of the other contestants and it made my confidence even more diminished. But, as I performed and advanced further and further into the competition series... my confidence rose more and more and I began to believe in myself again. Hearing praise and compliments from the judges as well as the executive producers helped me bring out the best in my talents. That was the biggest impact that I had throughout the show.... the good and bad.... that this is what I want to be doing for the rest of my life. The show resurrected my passions of music and entertainment. I couldn't be more grateful for that life-changing experience.

  1. Who are your biggest style influencers?

JB brought out my style back in Jr. High, but now I just wear stuff I feel fits me. I like plain fits like all black/all white slim fits. But my shoe game is 10/10 haha.

  1. What’s your go to look?

I really like the urban look. Brooklyn Cloth has tons of that.

  1. What are you most excited for when working with Brooklyn cloth?

I overall just love the looks of the clothing. Everything feels so fresh on me. I just feel like it all really compliments my style and who I am.
